Ridge Vineyards
Ridge Vineyards is a Californian wine producer based in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Its flagship wine, Monte Bello, is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated Bordeaux blend known for delivering the complexity and elegance of Bordeaux wines, as well as typical California fruit intensity. This wine has earned numerous awards and accolades over the years.
Ridge Vineyards was founded in 1962, though the history of the Monte Bello vineyard and winery dates back to the 1880s. Paul Draper, who joined Ridge in 1969, is one of the world's most celebrated winemakers, with awards including Decanter Man of the Year (2000), COPIA Award for winemaking (2004) and the James Beard Award (2007). In 2015, a Decanter Magazine poll of his peers voted him in the top five most admired winemakers in the world.

Zinfandel, Carignane, Petite Sirah, Mataro (Mourvèdre) and 1% Alicante Bouschet blend. Ruby color. Pungent bramble fruit, wintergreen, licorice, sweet toasted oak. Rich black cherry fruit on entry. Elegant chalky tannins, gravel/rock, ginger root.
RIDGE LYTTON SPRINGS ZINFANDEL
Jammy raspberry fruit with pepper, mint and sweet toasted oak. Brambly fruit on the palate, sensuous, well-defined tannins and balanced acidity. 74% Zinfandel, 16% Petite Sirah, 8% Carignane, 2% Mataro (Mourvedre).
